Ju Wenjun

Ju Wenjun China. Born 31 January 1991. Winner of the FIDE Women's Grand Prix Series 2015/2016. Olympic champion as a member of the Chinese women's national team (2016). Twofold Women's Chinese champion (2010, 2014). Semi-finalist of the FIDE Women's World Chess Championship (2012). Twofold world champion as a member of the Chinese women's national team (2009, 2011). Silver medalist of the World Chess Olympiad as a member of the Chinese women's national team (2010, 2012, 2014).

In the childhood Wenjun preferred to play with adults and quite often ignored world youth championships. At the age of 13 the Chinese chess player took the second place in the Asian Women's Chess Championship, won the Women's Chinese Chess Championship and became a participant of high-level tournaments.
