Kateryna Lagno

Kateryna Lagno Russia. Born 27 December 1989. Twofold European women's champion (2005, 2008). World Women's Rapid Chess Champion (2014). World Women's Blitz Chess Champion (2010). As a member of the Ukranian women's national team - Olympic (2006), world (2013) and European champion (2013). As a member of the Russian women's national team - Olympic (2014) and European champion (2015).

Kateryna Lagno has started her career as a chess prodigy having broken Judit Polgar's record and became the youngest female grandmaster in the chess history (she got this honourable title at the age of 12 years and 4 months).

In March 2014 Kateryna Lagno had applied for the transfer to the Russian Chess Federation from the Ukranian one, and on the 11th of July 2014 the FIDE Presidential Board approved of her transfer.

On the 10th of December 2015 presidential adviser Igor Levitin presented to Kateryna Lagno the Russian Federation Presidential Certificate of Acknowledgement.
