Valentina Gunina

Valentina Gunina Russia. Born 4 February 1989. Threefold Russian women's champion (2011, 2013, 2014). Twofold European women's champion (2012, 2014). European and world women's blitz chess champion (2012). Threefold Olympic champion as a member of the Russian women's national team  (2010, 2012, 2014). Threefold European champion as a member of the Russian women's national team (2009, 2011, 2015). Silver (2009, 2011, 2015) and bronze (2013) medalist of the Women's World Team Chess Championship as a member of the Russian women's national team.

In 2014 Gunina was rewarded with the Medal of the Order "For Merit to the Fatherland" I class.
Many experts consider Valentina to be one of those female chess players who can in the near future fight for the world champion's title. Uncompromisingness of her play always brings charm to the competitions where she plays.
